Rose Writing Center

Rose Writing Center is an online writing program serving students in grades 2–12. The curriculum is designed to make writing clear and teachable, helping students develop the ability to communicate with precision across subjects.

I founded Rose Writing Center in 2020 and continue to direct its growth, with a focus on admissions, teacher training, and curriculum design. At its core, the program is grounded in the belief that clear writing reflects clear thinking, and that both can be taught through careful, structured instruction.

Our instruction is systematic and explicit. Rather than expecting students to “figure out” writing through repeated assignments, we teach the component parts of writing directly, helping students build skills step by step. In practice, this means helping students learn how to generate ideas, organize them clearly, and express them in strong sentences and paragraphs before moving on to more advanced work.

The program now serves a community of over 80 families and is supported by a team of trained instructors. Families often find that what once felt confusing begins to make sense, and that students who resisted writing become more willing as their skills grow.
